What does a typical weekend look like at belle isle?
A typical itinerary begins with arrival of guests on Friday early afternoon or late evening. Friday evening, Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning hunts–as well as additional activities–are available. The boat will return you to the landing after the Sunday morning hunt.
do i need a hunting license?
Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries requires all persons wishing to hunt to possess a current applicable Louisiana hunting or fishing license. More information, and a link to purchase, can be found here.
how long does it take to get to belle isle?
Belle Isle is only accessible by boat. We typically ask our guests to drive to the Belle Isle Landing where our ferry boat and captain will meet you to load your luggage. Our ferry has covered seating and provides a warm and comfortable 30 minute ride down the Atchafalaya River to the island.

The Harry P. Williams Memorial Airport is located in Patterson, Louisiana.

What is the weather like on the island?
October and November can provide typically comfortable conditions. Expect daily high temperatures from 84°F to 76°F and daily low temperatures from 65°F to 56°F.
Being that Belle Isle is surrounded by water, the early mornings and evenings can bring winds and cooler temperatures.

what if i don't hunt?
